Evidence of My Progress

1. Internet Safety Infographic

The topic of Digital Citizenship and online safety is important not matter the age of students. While, the infographic is targeted to reach parents about keeping their child safe online, this stuff is always a good refreshed for anyone who is online. This is a unique and visual way of promoting digital etiquette using many forms of media including pictures, videos, text, and statistics.

2. Common Sense Media

This is a resource that contains an abundance of information on digital etiquette and responsible social interactions related to technology. The best part is it has material that is appropriate for all ages, as in this day and age this is information that everyone needs to know. The younger students are when they begin to learn this information, helps make more responsible digital citizens, and in a world where information is so accessible, the next generation needs to be taught how not to abuse that power, but use it an in advantageous way for the betterment of society.

3. Creative Commons

This is a resource that has great information and references on the use of others' work, copyright, intellectual property, and documentation of sources. I used Creative Commons to license my work, so it couldn't be stolen. I also used it to search for pictures, audio, and videos that were pre-approved to be used by someone other than the original owner.  Their search engine is a great place to look to avoid stealing the work of others. It also keeps my work safe, which is a strong reinforcer of safe, legal, and ethical technology use.
